Each week the Third Coast Festival presents the documentary-based program Re:sound on Chicago Public Radio.

On Re:sound you'll hear intriguing radio stories culled from around the world ranging from personal narratives to investigative documentaries, experimental sound art to humorous essays. The host of Re:sound is independent producer and essayist Gwen Macsai, who presents this remarkable work along with behind-the-scenes interviews and other "bonus tracks," and spins it all together with music for your listening pleasure.

I'm excited to share with yall that this weeks, "March 24 , 2007 (#67)- The Epistolary Show" Re:sound features a piece I made last October. "As part of a Third Coast Conference session in 2006, Brendan Greeley asked Zak Rosen to explore the potential of bloggers as subjects, fixers, and correspondents in radio stories. So Zak selected an arbitrary place (Antarctica) and to then found a blogger who could talk about this place in an interesting way."

I think well-being and frequency of blog posts in my life are mutually exclusive. I haven't posted in about a month. So, I haven't shown my face in the blogosphere or the regular world sphere. I have however been listening to some wonderful and inspired audio work.

jesse thorn's the sound of young america is a weekly hour long show about things that are awesome. he produces it out of his living room. he interviews awesome people like vendala vida, michael showalter, amy sedaris, bob edwards, and a guy that wrote a book about jay z. i've been listening to jesse late at night and early in the morning. i think he's only about 25.

the third coast festival is currently exhibiting some really bizarre pieces about hair
